Confidential, Comprehensive Care
Promise Community Health Center offers residents of northwest Iowa access to a level of confidential, comprehensive, affordable family planning care that they did not have before. In the past, they had to drive as far as Sioux City for the closest family planning clinic.
Through funding from the Family Planning Council of Iowa, Promise offers a full range of confidential family planning services for people between the ages of 12-55. The services include:
Well-woman exams and male physicals;
Sexually transmitted diseases testing and treatment;
Birth control counseling and supplies;
Urinary tract infection treatment;
Sexual health education;
All family planning services are provided with strict confidentiality.
Accessible and Affordable
Not only are Promise’s family planning services accessible, but they are affordable.
Due to its family planning funding, Promise offers family planning services for free or reduced costs that go beyond that of its regular sliding-fee scale for those of lower incomes:
Those who have household incomes of 100 percent or below the federal poverty level receive the family planning services for free.
Those between 101-150 percent of the FPL pay 25 percent of the charges.
Those between 151-200 percent of the FPL pay 50 percent of the charges.
Those between 201-250 percent of the FPL pay 75 percent of the charges.
Financial assistance is based on eligibility and income verification. If you qualify, you can receive assistance regardless of insurance status. Anyone between the ages of 12-55, capable of having children but not pregnant and falling within the above income guidelines can be eligible for the free or reduced cost services.
